Hercules Weightlifting Club – Training Options
CrossFit Nanaimo has partnered with the Hercules Weightlifting Club to provide a centralized and specialized training opportunity for anyone interested in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting.
We have the facility, equipment, and international level NCCP certified coaching expertise to accommodate training plans for a diverse range of members, regardless of age or lifting experience. Our club embraces beginners and high performance/elite athletes alike, with customized and specific programs tapered to individual goals. Athletes have the option to attend every session, part time, or carry out the programming remotely with technology assisted monitoring.
Our training philosophy revolves around the development of efficient technique & mechanics, as a foundation which will allow for flexibility, speed, strength maximization and injury prevention.
Members will have the option to train recreationally, to supplement other sports, or with a focus to compete in BC Weightlifting sanctioned events.
Session times:
Monday 7:00pm-9:00pm
Wednesday 7:00pm-9:00pm
Friday 5:45pm-7:45pm
Available equipment:
- LB and KG bumper plates and change plates, large Eleiko technique plates (2.5kg/5kg)
- 20kg and 15kg Eleiko, York, Rogue lifting bars
- 5kg Eleiko technique bar for kids & beginners
- Training Platforms
- Squat racks, benches, pulling blocks
